The end of an era…
May 6th, 2008 Posted in LifeThis past weekend my wife returned from one of her extravagant shopping adventures with a gift. A new watch! Apparently this was a hint… Anyone who knows me can attest to the fact that I have been rocking the Casio CA-53W-1Z for quite some time now. But she says it’s time for retirement!
The calculator watch is one of the finest pieces of technology ever developed and not to mention a major fashion statement. Since the early 80’s Casio has been a market leader in providing wearable computers to nerds allowing them to function in everyday life. So what does the future hold for these marvelous devices? Not much, but it was fun while it lasted!
So if reading this post has made you a bit nostalgic for the 80’s. Fear not, I may break it out from time to time just to prove a point…
